Suzi Moon, who has been dubbed ‘the new queen of punk’, has today announced a month-long tour supporting legendary surf punks Agent Orange.

The US dates come hot on the heels of Moon announcing a spring tour with The Queers and a slot at this year’s Punk Rock Bowling Festival.

California gal Suzi only released debut solo album Dumb & In Luv (reviewed here) last year, but is already being tipped as one of the fastest-rising stars in punk.

In addition to the newly announced US dates, Suzi and her band will be heading to Europe this summer to play festivals including Rebellion, BrakRock and Punk Rock Holiday.

Suzi’s debut album followed two well-received EPs, Call The Shots (reviewed here) and Animal (reviewed here), which marked her out as one to watch.

Dumb & In Luv was written and mostly recorded before the EPs, but it’s exactly what you’d expect from her – 100% catchy rock ‘n’ roll with a punk twist.

It led Vive Le Rock magazine to dub her “the new queen of punk rock”, but she’s not exactly a newcomer, having been in Civet, Turbulent Hearts and L.A. Machina before forming her own band.

Catch Suzi Moon on tour around the US with The Queers and The Raging Nathans from March 29 to April 15, and with Agent Orange from April 21 to May 18.

An appearance at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas on May 27 kick-starts a summer of festivals, including Rebellion in Blackpool on August 6 – at the moment her only UK date.

She’ll also be appearing at festivals in Germany, Serbia, Romania, Spain, Belgium and Slovenia.
