Monkeys Blood, a ‘supergroup’ comprising members of three well-known North East punk bands, have released their first single.
Fist b/w Vex is the debut single from the band, who were formed in June 2024, and named after a popular ice cream topping from their youth.

Monkeys Blood are Peesh from LoGoZ on guitar and vocals, Denni from The Undaclass on bass, and Iain from Slalom D on drums.
They launched the two-track CD with a gig at Diego’s Joint in Sunderland on 15 August, with ex-Kickback Generation man James Thoroughgood and former Angelic Upstarts guitarist Neil Newton’s new band Heedcase also on the bill.

A right noisy night was had by all, but there’s more to come; despite the fact all three members are active in other bands, Monkeys Blood have already laid down 12 tracks for a debut album.
There’s no word on when it might be released just yet, but if the first two tracks are anything to go by it’ll be a belter. You can get Fist/Vex from Monkeys Blood at their gigs or contact them via their Facebook page HERE.
