Cock Sparrer, who headline the main stage at Rebellion Festival in Blackpool this weekend, have announced a new club tour for 2020.
The streetpunk legends are getting ready to confirm their status as one of the best live bands around when they return to the Empress Ballroom at the famous Winter Gardens on Saturday night.
And yesterday they posted on their Facebook page: “It’s Rebellion week! Best week of the year, best festival, best people and at home!
“So to celebrate and to answer all the questions of ‘when are you next playing the UK’ we’ve decided to do another load of club shows. We had such a blast last time. Let’s do it again!
“Joining us for this run are the mighty Spunk Volcano & The Eruptions.”

Cock Sparrer, who were formed in the East End of London in 1972, have never had a hit record, but are considered one of the most influential street-punk bands of all time.
They helped pave the way for the early ’80s punk scene and whole Oi! subgenre, and their songs have been covered by the likes of Dropkick Murphys, The Swingin’ Utters, Argy Bargy, Agnostic Front and The Bouncing Souls.
Four of the five members are original – singer Colin McFaull, lead guitarist Micky Beaufoy, bassist Steve Burgess and drummer Steve Bruce. Rhythm guitarist Daryl Smith is the newcomer, with ‘only’ 27 years in the band.
Their 1983 debut album Shock Troops is considered a punk classic, and their most recent album, Forever, released in 2017, was hailed as one of the best of their career.
Tickets for all dates go on sale on Wednesday 31 July at 10am.
