Psych-punk duo The Lovely Eggs have shown they refuse to be beaten after having to rearrange their UK tour for the SEVENTH time.
The band were all set to hit the road in April 2020 to promote then-new album I Am Moron (reviewed here).
When the pandemic intervened they were forced to push the dates back. And back, and back…
This week’s cancellation of June 21 as ‘freedom day’ means they have had to reschedule the dates yet again.

“It’s part of the DIY culture,” says singer/guitarist Holly Ross. “You just don’t give up.
“As soon as we found out re-opening had been pushed back, we set about heaving all our tour dates back into late July/August.
“We didn’t want to wait till next year. And within 24 hours we’d re-booked our UK tour for the seventh time!
Ready to party
“We are all just ready for the party now. Everyone has been looking forward to these shows for over a year and we can’t wait to bring it to ’em.”
Restrictions permitting, The Lovely Eggs tour will now start in Manchester on July 23.

The shows will be a long-awaited celebration of the critical and indie chart-topping success of I Am Moron.
They also follow the forthcoming collaboration with Iggy Pop for the July 9 release of new non-album single I, Moron on their own Egg Records label.
Its B-side features The Lovely Eggs’ own take on Dum Dum Boys from Iggy’s defining 1977 album The Idiot.
You’ll have to be quick off the mark to find a copy. It’s limited to 1,000 copies on yellow vinyl, and many have already been snapped up on pre-orders.
