Cross-genre punks Millie Manders and the Shut Up have announced a new tour, Angry Side, for April and May 2024.

The four-piece, who are known for their joyous live shows, recently finished a hugely successful UK tour (the Newcastle gig is reviewed here).

Now they are gearing up for their long-awaited second album, which is slated for release in 2024.

Fans have already had two tastes of the band’s new material with the singles Rebound and Shut Your Mouth.

The Angry Side Tour is named after another forthcoming single, which is the latest taste of the band’s new material.

Frontwoman Millie said: “Angry Side is about teenage angst, and I am so excited to bring that energy with us to stages around the UK.”

Pop appeal

With their dynamic sound and candid lyrics, the band delve into themes like loss, betrayal, anxiety, heartbreak, environmental concerns and political unrest.

Grinding guitars, a nailed-on rhythm section and Millie’s amazing voice give MMATSU huge amounts of pop appeal, served with a healthy dose of punk rock attitude.
