Rising stars Millie Manders & The Shut Up today announced a new single, Rebound, to be released on 14 February.

As you might expect from a ska-punk band with a strong social conscience, it’s not a love song, but an anti-Valentine’s song.

Rebound is an catchy, full-throttle ode to toxic online dating, something which frontwoman Millie knows all about.

She explains: “Rebound reflects my experience with online dating, but most people I have spoken to have had similar and worse experiences with it.

“I wanted to write a song that was in solidarity with those on the receiving end of a rebound relationship and let them know they were never the problem.”

The video for Rebound, which is the band’s first new original material since their excellent debut album Telling Truths, Breaking Ties (reviewed here), will be launched on release day.

After playing catch-up with a couple of dates which had to be cancelled in late 2022, when Millie lost her voice, MMATSU hit the road in earnest again in April.

Last year’s live work, including support slots with Less Than Jake and Ferocious Dog, emphasised their growing reputation as one of the best up and coming live acts in the country, with Millie’s powerhouse vocals at the centre of their exhilarating sound.

Rebound is available to pre-save now on iTunes HERE, on Spotify HERE and Amazon Music HERE.

Tickets for the April live shows are available from the band’s website HERE. The band will also be making their debut appearance at Slam Dunk Festival in May.
