American punks Teenage Bottlerocket have announced a new album and shared its first single.

Ghost Story is the first taste of Sick Sesh!, which will be released by Fat Wreck Chords on 27 August.

Like most of their songs, it’s tight, fast and frantic, and shows why their style has been dubbed ‘Ramones-core’.

The album is their ninth, and their first since 2019, when they released Stay Rad! as well as a split with Human Robots.

Formed in Wyoming in 2000, they play short, snappy and stylish punk, and have kept the leather jacket and Converse look alive through an increasingly neon landscape.

Sick Sesh! is Teenage Bottlerocket’s ninth album.

Teenage Bottlerocket centre around the songwriting chops of guitarists/vocalists Ray Carlisle and Kody Templeman (who also fronts The Lillingtons).

Completing the line-up are bassist Miguel Chen and drummer Darren Chewka, who joined after the death of Ray’s twin brother Brandon in 2015.

Stay Rad! was their first album of original material since the tragedy, and was hailed as one of the best of the band’s career.

Sick Sesh! is available on CD, vinyl and digitally, and is up for pre-order on the Fat Wreck website now, along with a range of new merch, though the vinyl doesn’t ship until November.
