Ska-punk legends Less Than Jake have confirmed a UK tour for 2022, with some excellent special guests.
The Gainesville, FL band released their ninth album, Silver Linings, last December on Pure Noise Records.
Unable to tour it at the time due to the pandemic, they’ve pencilled in a full EU/UK tour for next year.
They will bring their energetic live show to 11 venues in Ireland and the UK in March and April 2022.
Rising Norwich/London cross-genre punks Millie Manders And The Shut Up will support on the two Irish dates.
Joining them on the mainland will be London folk-punks Skinny Lister and NYC ska band The Toasters.
LTJ are nearly 30 years into a career which includes tours with Descendents, Blink-182, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg, Bad Religion, and many more.
They have also played over 365 shows on the Vans Warped Tour – clearly never a band to rest on its laurels.
Silver Linings, their first album in seven years, featured the singles Lie To Me, Dear Me, Anytime And Anywhere, and Keep On Chasing.
Like all Less Than Jake records, Silver Linings does a fair bit of myth-exploding in its pursuit of joy.
The songwriting core of frontman Chris DeMakes, bassist Roger Lima and saxophonist JR Wasilewski wrote all the lyrics.
New drummer Matt Yonker, LTJ’s former tour manager as well as sticksman in punk outfits like the Teen Idols and the Queers, helps bring a new sense of urgency.
