Frank Turner has announced a very special edition of his breakthrough album England Keep My Bones.
The album that transformed him from cult hero to folk-punk star is coming up to its 10th anniversary.
To mark the occasion, Turner is releasing a special expanded commemorative edition on June 4 via Xtra Mile Recordings.
Alongside the original album, the expanded deluxe version will include a bonus disc of unheard demo recordings.
The 2LP set, featuring bespoke new artwork, is on 180g vinyl, with coloured variants exclusive to indie stores.
Fifteen previously unreleased solo B-sides will also be made available for the first time, to download only.
Rave reviews
England Keep My Bones was Frank Turner’s fourth album, and found him dwelling on themes of mortality and Englishness.
Popular with fans and critics alike, it received rave reviews and went straight into the UK Album Chart at No. 12.
It features Peggy Sang The Blues and If Ever I Stray, along with I Still Believe and Wessex Boy, which were performed at the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.
England Keep My Bones has sold more than 100,000 copies in the UK, and its songs remain firm live favourites.
A life changer
Frank Turner reflected: “It’s been 10 years since the album (or one of them) that changed everything in my life.
“When we were making it back in 2011 in Crouch End I knew it would be special, but had no idea how far it would take me around the world.
“I’m extremely proud of and grateful for it. A decade on, we’re celebrating with an anniversary edition, double vinyl with beautiful new artwork.
