Noisy northerners Burning Flag have announced a new single to be released at 3pm on Christmas Day – to coincide with the Queen’s Speech.
Eat The Rich is the first track to be taken from the band’s forthcoming third album, which will be released in 2021.
Hailing from the West Yorkshire town of Halifax, Burning Flag are a venomous twisted sludge blending scathing punk noise with ’90s hardcore and industrial riffs.
Formed in 2013 from the ashes of Falconetti, Human Wreckage and Seal Team Six, they have two albums to their name – 2015’s self-titled debut and 2017’s Izabel.
They used their spare time during the coronavirus pandemic to write and record a new album, Matador.

Eat The Rich, the first taste of their work with new singer Holly, will be available to download and stream via all major digital service providers, including Burning Flag’s own Bandcamp page HERE, and it will also be featured on the upcoming South London Scum compilation.
Burning Flag have played with the likes of Agnostic Front, Subhumans, GBH, Discharge, DOOM, Extinction of Mankind, Morning Glory, Drongos For Europe, The Bus Station Loonies and Cress, as well as appearing at festivals including Rebellion and Download.
Burning Flag are Holly Elizabeth (vocals), Jonesy (guitar/backing vocals), Mark Midgley (bass) and Matt Fortune (drums/backing vocals).
