Plizzken, the new punk band founded by Sebi Walkenhorst from German oi! crew Stomper 98, have released their first sngle.
Dear All Happy People is available now to stream or download HERE, and as a picture flexidisc from their label Pirates Press Records.
The song – which sounds to these ears like vintage Angelic Upstarts – is the first taste of the band’s debut album …And Their Paradise Is Full Of Snakes, which is due out on July 2.
Fans can get their hands on a copy of the free flexi when they place an order via Pirates Press webstore, or from selected record stores worldwide.
Sebi sang in his native German with Stomper 98, but sings in English throughout the entire Plizzken record.
Of the new single, he says: “It’s so good to see a new generation is rebellious against this ‘we always did this’ and ‘back in the days we were like this and that.’ Fuck that.
“We live in 2021 and the world has changed and still changes. I wanna see my children living in a bright future.”

Plizzken were born last year when, with touring plans cancelled due to the pandemic, Sebi and Silvio Schlesier (guitar/vocals) built a recording studio in their practice space with their free time.
After jamming for a while, they began writing non-stop until the record was finished.
And although it hasn’t been released yet, they’re already working on new music.
Living the dream
“When the stages open up again, we will head out and do what we all miss so badly,” said Sebi. “Sitting in a van, travelling for hours to reach a closed venue. Waiting for somebody to open up, loading in, and waiting again.
“Drinking coffee like water and sleeping in every corner to rest a little bit. All of this is known as living the dream.”.
