Rising ska-punks Millie Manders And The Shut Up have started 2021 by releasing a video for Panic, the new single taken from their highly-rated debut album.
As the title suggests, the song is about the destruction of the planet and our horrendous farming practices, and, as singer Millie explains, the New Year’s Day release date is significant.
“I’m aiming to inspire change through New Year’s resolutions, be that less single-use plastic, less meat and animal products, and reducing carbon footprints.
“Like Greta Thunberg said, I want people to panic like their house is on fire. Because it is.
“We all need to make a resolution to be better for our home and to protect it and ALL of its inhabitants. And to start screaming at corporations to change their ways.”
Panic’s parent album, Telling Truths, Breaking Ties, was No 3 in our Top 30 releases of 2020. It’s available on CD and vinyl from their website HERE.
The band’s 2020 UK tour had to be postponed but the dates are currently being rescheduled for when it becomes safe to do so in 2021, and an announcement will follow.
