LoGoZ, the pop-punk four-piece from North East England, have released a new video giving fans the first taste of their forthcoming EP.
Digital Detox is the thunderous lead single from a three-song CD which will be released in early 2021.
It takes aim at the ever-present intrusion of technology in our lives, and sees the band on fine form, mixing swaggering riffs with catchy melodies.
LoGOz are Peesh (lead vocals and guitar), his teenage son Kieran (bass), Paul (lead guitar and backing vocals), and Carlos (drums).
Formed in 2012 in Ashington, Northumberland, they play energetic, short, sharp and catchy schizofrantic punk rock melodica, influenced by the likes of Rancid, Ramones, The Professionals, Sex Pistols and Green Day.
The deliberately lo-fi Digital Detox video uses fan-shot live footage, as well as socially-distanced practice room footage filmed after the first Covid-19 lockdown.
The new EP follows the release of last year’s Disgraceland single (reviewed here), and the band hope to release a new album later in 2021. Follow them on Facebook HERE for further updates on the new EP.
