Rising cross-genre punks The Bar Stool Preachers have announced a trip of intimate shows to promote their forthcoming new EP.
Below The Static, due out on Pure Noise Records on 13 September, sees the Brighton band reimagining six songs from last year’s excellent third album Above The Static (reviewed here).
Call Me On The Way Home has already been trailed as the first single from the EP, and it’s very different indeed from the original guitar-powered anthem, transforming into a beautiful piano ballad with subtle strings, showcasing frontman TJ McFaull’s voice.
The other tracks to be given the stripped-down treatment are Doorstep, Flatlined, All Turned Blue, Laptop and Don’t Die Today.
The EP will be available on CD and three different vinyl variations, which are available to pre-order now from the Pure Noise website HERE.
