A classic live album by glam rock legends Slade is to be made available on vinyl for the first time as a reissue campaign of their music continues.

Live At The New Victoria will be available on limited edition vinyl and deluxe CD on 23 February via BMG, which is working its way through the ’70s glam rock legends’ back catalogue.

After lying in the Slade vaults for years, the album was only officially released for the first time in 2022, as part of the All The World Is A Stage 5CD boxset.

Now diehard Slade fans and collectors will be delighted to learn it is being made available on double blue and white splatter vinyl.

Recorded on April 26 1975 – the second of two nights at the London theatre venue – the album captures the band as they toured the UK promoting their feature film, In Flame.

Featuring the 1975 Top 20 hit How Does It Feel, as well as classics Gudbuy T’Jane, Mama Weer All Crazee Now, Everyday and Far Far Away, it’s a snapshot in time of the band’s powerful live performance.

Also getting a re-release at the same time is the 1981 album Till Deaf Do Us Part, which will be available on white with black splatter vinyl, and as a deluxe mediabook CD, with two bonus tracks.

Till Deaf Do Us Part was the follow-up to We’ll Bring The House Down, which took them back into the charts after a five-year absence after a legendary performance at the previous year’s Reading Festival.

It features the single Lock Up Your Daughters as well as other tracks that were to become staples of the live set, including Rock & Roll Preacher, Ruby Red and Knuckle Sandwich Nancy.

Slade’s sensational songwriting partnership of Noddy Holder and Jim Lea wrote 23 Top 20 singles, of which 6 made No.1. Their infectious blend of hard rock and glam pop helped them sell more than 50 million records all over the world.
