Deadpan post-punks Dry Cleaning have announced the reissue of their first two much-sought-after EPs on one 12in vinyl record.
Debut EP Sweet Princess, released in 2018, was released on cassette and download, while 2019’s Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks was only originally available as a download.
The two EPs were released together as a limited edition 12in single in 2019, and copies now fetch three figures on the collectors’ market.
Now, remastered versions of the two EPs will be available again on vinyl from 4AD, as Dry Cleaning prepare to head back on the road this March and April for headline sets which will lean heavily on songs from their earliest work.
The dates will offer fans the chance to see the band play in more intimate venues, as well as honouring US shows that were postponed in 2020 (including SXSW and Treefort festivals). Tickets go on sale this Friday, 19 January HERE.
Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks/Sweet Princess will be available digitally, on standard black LP, transparent blue LP (indie variant), CD and cassette from 8 March. Pre-orders are being taken HERE.
The EPs were released before Dry Cleaning were catapulted to fame after their single Scratchyard Lanyard become one of 2020’s biggest earworms.
They have since released two critically acclaimed albums, New Long Leg (2021) and Stumpwork (2022), as well as last year’s five-track Swampy EP.
Now the South London four-piece are taking a moment to reflect on how far they’ve come and pay homage to their roots by re-releasing their early EPs again.
Today, the band has shared a new visualiser for the song Sit Down Meal – the first in a new series created for all tracks across the EP by original Magic Of Meghan video collaborator Lucy Vann.
