Seattle streetpunks The Drowns have announced a new AA-side 7in taken from their long-awaited third album.

The four-piece will release Blacked Out on Pirates Press Records on 16 February next year.

The band said: “Making this album pushed us harder as a band than ever before, but this is a rock ‘n’ roll game changer and we can not wait for you to hear this.”

They released the record’s title track to streaming services last week, and the label has made 5,000 flexis of the song, which they’re giving away with orders to promote The Drowns’ forthcoming long-player.

The new AA-side single sees two songs from the album – Just the Way She Goes and 1979 Trans Am – sharing a 7in single which is available in two colours, gold and evergreen.

Both of the songs pay tribute to very different vehicles and the lifestyles that go with them.

Pre-orders are being taken now on The Drowns’ Bandcamp page HERE and at the PPR website HERE.

The Drowns have just finished a UK tour, following hot on the heels of a triumphant main stage appearance at this year’s Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.

It’s been a busy year for them, as they have released split singles with Plizzken, The Last Gang and Wonk Unit, and an excellent cover of The Sweet’s Ballroom Blitz with labelmate Suzi Moon.
