Suzi Moon, the Los Angeles punk rocker who was in Civet, Turbulent Hearts and L.A. Machina, is set to release her debut solo EP.

Call The Shots, which will contain three tracks, will be released on Pirates Press Records in May.

The ‘princess of punk’ told followers on her Facebook page: “I am overjoyed to announce that I have joined the Pirates Press Records family!!! Woo!!

“It is a freakin’ honor to be working with the amazing team at Pirates. I have admired them for years & they’re the perfect label for me.

“My three-song EP Call The Shots will be out in May on vinyl. The first single, Special Place In Hell, is dropping on April 2nd to all digital platforms and Bandcamp!”

You might know Ms Moon better as Suzi Homewrecker, the long-time guitarist in femme fatale punk band Civet, from Long Beach, California, who channeled the spirit of The Runaways and The Distillers over five albums between 2001-2011.

With Civet on hiatus Suzi became the singer in punk ‘n’ roll trio Turbulent Hearts, who released a series of well-received EPs and 7″s, before cropping up in all-girl trio L.A. Machina, who produced just one single last year before going their separate ways.

Suzi will be announcing more information and revealing some clips from her new tunes on her social media profiles so give her a follow!

Civet started out as an all-female band but the line-up which went on hiatus in 2011 contained two men.
