Post-punk hopefuls Smile have released another new track which confirms them as a band of huge promise.

Joe Francis (lead vocals), Jake Robinson (drums), Erik Miles (guitar) and Rob Mckie (bass) are a four-piece formed late in 2019 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

They list IDLES and Slaves among their influences, but their latest track, Head Talk, sees them stray into hip-hop territory, instead of their usual hardcore-style assault.

Like many other bands, Smile saw their plans derailed by Covid-19, but they shared their debut release, the single Bobby, at the end of March 2020, and followed it with the four-track Smile EP (reviewed here) in June.

In between lockdowns they worked on new songs, and the first, Culture Vulture, was released in January. Check out Head Talk by searching for SmileBand on the streaming service of your choice.
