Southern California punk legends Social Distortion have announced a pair of UK dates as part of a month-long summer 2026 European tour.
They will play Download Festival at Donington on 14 June and Koko in London two days later – their first UK shows in four years.
The tour kicks off in Oslo, Norway, on 3 June, and the band will also visit Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Belgium before ending in Germany on 4 July.
Social D were formed in 1978 as rebellious teenage punks in the working-class suburb of Fullerton, California, and became known for their honest and fiery brand of rock ‘n’ roll incorporating outlaw country, classic ’70s punk and primal blues.
Seven studio albums and countless electrifying live shows have earned the band a dedicated worldwide fanbase and amassed a catalogue of timeless anthems, including Story Of My Life, Ball And Chain, Prison Bound, and many more.
The band’s most recent release, 2011’s Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, entered the Billboard 200 at No 4, and, in 2023, they celebrated 45 years as a band.
Frontman Mike Ness is the sole surviving original member, with the current line-up completed by Jonny ‘2 Bags’ Wickersham on rhythm guitar, Brent Harding on bass and David Hidalgo Jr on drums.
They have recorded their as-yet-untitled eighth album, but its release been delayed by a 2023 cancer diagnosis for Ness. Its first single will be released in January 2026, with the album expected in the spring.
