View From the Bottom, the debut album from Seattle punk rock ‘n’ rollers The Drowns, is to get a welcome reissue.
The band, who have taken Rebellion Festival by storm for the past two years, released the album in 2018 on German label Gunner Records.
It’s been out of print for ages and hard to find – especially in their native United States – ever since.
With the band more popular than ever and fast becoming one of the most in-demand on the international scene, their current label Pirates Press Records have decided it’s time to re-release it.
The entire record has been re-mastered by legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Murder City Devils to name a few).
Tracks like lead single Eternal Debate, live staples like the title track, and gems like Faithfully, Faithless and my personal favourite Where’s Bobby? are just waiting to be re-discovered, and they have never sounded better.
The new edition also includes a bonus track in the form of a cover of Satyagraha, originally by Reno hardcore legends 7 Seconds.
The record has been pressed on happy meal marble vinyl, and packaged with revamped, minimalist artwork featuring a red pitchfork, in keeping with the original sleeve.
