Millie Manders and The Shut Up have released one of the hardest hitting songs from their recent second album as they prepare to hit the road again.
Me Too is the fourth single taken from acclaimed second album Wake Up, Shut Up, Work, which was named IPA Music’s Best Album of 2024.
The album (reviewed here) reached No 2 in the UK Rock & Metal album chart and No 6 in the UK Independent album chart on its release last August.
The video for the single features Ramona from Ramona’s Tea Party, who supported MMATSU on their headline UK tour last autumn, along with members of audiences on those shows.
Me Too has a powerful message about the ordeal women face when reported rape and other sexual assaults. The video includes harrowing statistics regarding the extent of sexual and domestic abuse in the UK.
The single, which has an acoustic version as its B-side, has been released ahead of the band’s Choose The Bear Tour in the spring, which includes their biggest headline London show to date at Camden Dingwalls and will raise money for Sexual and Domestic Abuse charities.

The cover features an Angry Ted Plushie bear, and these will be sold in a limited edition of 500, with £6 from each one donated to The Survivors Trust, Refuge UK and Beyond The Streets, with the aim of raising £1,000 for each charity.
Millie said: “Thank you to Ramona’s Tea Party for the excellent acting and for spending hours on set with us, and especially to Ramona for deeply immersing herself in the moment, making us all emotional. And thank you to the literally hundreds of people across our shows who chose to be filmed for this video.

“We are so sorry we couldn’t fit more in. It was staggering the number of you who wanted to be involved with this. Thank you so much for watching and for your support.”
Millie Manders and The Shut Up are renowned for their ferocious, joyous and memorable live shows, having graced stages at festivals as Slam Dunk, Bearded Theory, North West Calling, Kendal Calling and Rebellion, as well as touring with the likes of Less Than Jake and Ferocious Dog.
The album Wake Up, Shut Up, Work is available on CD and vinyl HERE and a host of indie record stores, as well as all major streaming and download platforms.
