Ska revival legends Bad Manners have today announced a huge live UK headline tour for November and December 2024.
Kicking off in Sheffield, the band will visit Newcastle, Leeds, Southend, Exeter, Southampton, Manchester, London before commencing in Nottingham.
Fronted by vocalist Buster Bloodvessel, Bad Manners are known for their outrageous antics and blistering live shows.
Formed in London in 1976 when the original members were still at school, they rose to prominence alongside other ska revival bands such as Madness, The Specials and The Selecter.
Early exposure came through 2-Tone Records package tours and an appearance in the live documentary Dance Craze.
They had their first hit in early 1980 when Ne-Ne Na-Na Na-Na Nu-Nu, a cover of a 1958 Dicky Doo and the Don’ts hit, gatecrashed the UK Top 30.
They went on to enjoy a string of hits with songs like Lip Up Fatty, Special Brew, Lorraine, Can Can, Walking In the Sunshine and My Girl Lollipop, spending 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart between 1980 and 1983.
They also achieved chart success with their first four studio albums, with 1981’s Gosh It’s … Bad Manners their biggest success, peaking at No. 18.
Having toured the UK, Europe, America, Japan, New Zealand and Australia over the past four decades they are hitting the road again for a nine-date UK tour which starts in Sheffield on 30 November and ends just before Christmas at Nottingham Rock City.
