UltraBomb are a new ‘supergroup’ whose punk rock credentials need little examination.

They are set to release their debut album, Time To Burn, on May 27 via their own label, UltraBomb Records.

Pre-orders are being taken now via the band’s website HERE, and they are hitting the road soon for a short UK tour to promote the record.

And to whet the appetite, UltraBomb have released a new single, Star, as the second taste of the album.

Star is the second single released from UltraBomb’s debut album Time To Burn.

Their first single, Stickman Vs Hangman, dropped last month to critical acclaim, and Star looks set to follow.

UltraBomb formed in July 2021, and two months later travelled from their respective homes in the US, Canada and the UK to record Time To Burn in Berlin, Germany.

On bass is the legend that is Greg Norton, once the driving force behind one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American punk scene, Hüsker Dü.

Classic punk

Next up is the indefatigable singer-guitarist Finny McConnell, who had 30 years as the frontman of the Canadian Irish folk-punk sensation The Mahones.

Completing the line-up is powerhouse drummer Jamie Oliver, who spent 15 years in seminal British punk band UK Subs, as well as stints with the likes of SNFU.

Embracing a shared DIY ethic and love of classic punk, the band wrote and recorded the 10-track LP in just four days.

Star, the latest single, is a rousing, emotive song written for Greg Norton’s daughter, Coco.

“She inspires me every day,” he explains. “I wrote this for her. I want her to follow her dreams, and I feel she can accomplish anything if she is committed to it and puts her heart into it.”
