IPA Music: This is who we are, this is what we do

Hello, I’m Gary Welford. I used to be lucky enough to write about music as part of my job as a journalist.

I don’t have that job any more, so I decided to start my own website, writing about music!

It does what it says on the tin, covering mainly indie, punk and alternative music, which are the genres I like best.

Music definitely not for the masses

You’ll also find reggae, ska, rock, metal, and even folk and electro from time to time, so hopefully there’ll be something you like.

I aim to bring you news, previews and reviews of artists I like, plus some great gig photography, and I’ve enlisted a couple of friends to help me widen the site’s scope by writing about music they like.

If you’d like to send me something to review, streams are the devil’s work, I’ve reluctantly embraced downloads, CDs are fine, and vinyl is the holy grail.
