Italian pop-punk trio Smalltown Tigers are back with their first new music in over a year.
Formed in Rimini in 2019, they hit the ground running on a tour with New York’s Baby Shakes followed by a UK tour including London shows at The Shacklewell Arms and the iconic Hope & Anchor.
Influenced by glam and garage rock as well as classic ’77 punk, they initially played Ramones covers, before writing and releasing a mini-album, Five Things, in 2020, which won BBC airplay from Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe and The Undertones’ Mickey Bradley.
The girls – Valli (bass/vocals), Monty (guitar/vocals) and Castel (drums/vocals) – were spotted by Brian James, which led to an invitation to open for The Damned on their sold-out 2022 reunion dates, as well as support for their subsequent European tour.

Smalltown Tigers released their critically-acclaimed debut full-length Crush On You in February 2024, and plan to return to the studio in early 2026 to write and record the follow-up.
In the meantime, they have returned with a new single, which was recorded in Ravenna with musician and producer Teo Rossi. It’s available to stream now.
“With Teo Rossi, the spark was immediate,” say the girls. “We met during an amazing event at Mosquito Coast beach in Marina di Ravenna, where Teo immediately asked us to collaborate on a single.
“He understood our direction, gave us space, energy, and a raw yet fresh sound that we really love.
“This song was created from scratch in Teo’s studio, Seahorse in Ravenna, with no plans, no pressures, just us in the studio, ideas flying and the desire to express something we feel deep inside.
“It’s about freedom, about telling everybody to go to hell when necessary, and finding the strength to start over from within. A different sound that meets Teo Rossi and the Smalltown Tigers!”
