Wet Leg – the Isle of Wight indie band founded by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – today announced a release date for their eagerly anticipated second album.

Moisturizer – the follow-up to their self-titled 2022 chart-topping debut – will be released by Domino Recording Co on July 11, with lead single Catch These Fists out now.

The band – completed by Ellis Durand (bass), Henry Holmes (drums) and Joshua Mobaraki (guitar, synth) – all have writing credits on the new record, which they say is fun, freaky and fabulous.

Wet Leg’s second album Moisturizer will be released on July 11.

Wet Leg burst onto the scene in 2021, with debut single Chaise Longue going viral with millions of streams and video views.

Touring all over the world on the back of the first album, Wet Leg developed into a taut, caustic live unit who made having hits look easy as they picked up three Grammys and two Brit awards and amassed half a billion streams.

In March 2024, the band decamped to Southwold to write; living together, working all day, watching horror movies all night, they soon locked into a new sense of symbiosis.

“We were just kind of having fun and exploring,” says Chambers. “We focused on ‘Is this going to be fun to play live?’.” Teasdale adds: “It was very natural that we would write the second record together.”

Catch These Fists is a slice of dance-punk featuring bass notes, a wall of howling synth and thunderous beats, as well as Teasdale’s cruel deadpan vocals.

The video, directed by the band and shot on the Island, nods to Ti West, Cameron Crowe and their own Wet Dream video and is a suitably off-kilter introduction to Moisturizer.

Wet Leg will embark on a full-scale UK tour to promote Moisturizer, as well as playing a string of summer festival dates, including Glastonbury, Primavera and Radio 1 Big Weekend, and headlining Green Man.

Tickets for Wet Leg’s May 2025 UK headline tour will be on pre-sale from Wednesday 9 April at 10am, with general sale from Friday 11 April at the same time. Pre-order the new album HERE for access to the pre-sale.

Moisturizer will be available on limited edition 3D gatefold cream coloured vinyl with signed photo, picture disc vinyl, standard vinyl, cassette, CD and digitally.
