{"id":8144,"date":"2022-11-14T16:53:44","date_gmt":"2022-11-14T16:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipamusic.co.uk\/?p=8144"},"modified":"2022-11-14T16:53:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-14T16:53:45","slug":"grade-2-announce-fourth-album-and-share-new-single-under-the-streetlight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipamusic.co.uk\/?p=8144","title":{"rendered":"Grade 2 announce fourth album and share new single Under The Streetlight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rising Isle of Wight streetpunks <strong>Grade 2<\/strong> have released a new video and announced a new album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The eponymously-titled <em>Grade 2<\/em> will be released on Hellcat Records on 17 February 2023, and it promises to be their best yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The record is a thumping 15-track tour-de-force melding the uncompromising ethos of punk with the howl of contemporary injustice, personal identity, and frustrations of Gen-Z youth, told by three lads with punk coursing through their veins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest new song, <em>Under The Streetlight<\/em>, is a high-energy track with a spirited, hopeful melody and it comes with a feel-good music video that praises the power of community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Grade 2 - &quot;Under the Streetlight&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HhsRypa6d38?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Explaining the song, Grade 2 said: \u201cEven though there are times when life can feel stagnant or things aren\u2019t going to plan, there will always be people there to support you whether it\u2019s mates, a partner, or your family,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s the third taste of their new material, after lead single <em>Doing Time<\/em>, which was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ipamusic.co.uk\/?p=8061\">released in September<\/a><\/strong>, and <em>Brassic<\/em>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ipamusic.co.uk\/?p=8126\">which followed in October<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grade 2 are childhood friends Sid Ryan (vocals, bass), Jacob Hull (drums) and Jack Chatfield (guitar, vocals), and they&#8217;re bringing the raw power of old-school punk to a new generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With two albums already under their belt, the trio signed to Hellcat Records &#8211;
