American punks Teenage Bottlerocket<\/strong> have announced a new album and shared its first single.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Ghost Story<\/em> is the first taste of Sick Sesh<\/em>!, which will be released by Fat Wreck Chords on 27 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like most of their songs, it’s tight, fast and frantic, and shows why their style has been dubbed ‘Ramones-core’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album is their ninth, and their first since 2019, when they released Stay Rad!<\/em> as well as a split with Human Robots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formed in Wyoming in 2000, they play short, snappy and stylish punk, and have kept the leather jacket and Converse look alive through an increasingly neon landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teenage Bottlerocket centre around the songwriting chops of guitarists\/vocalists Ray Carlisle and Kody Templeman (who also fronts The Lillingtons).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Completing the line-up are bassist Miguel Chen and drummer Darren Chewka, who joined after the death of Ray\u2019s twin brother Brandon in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stay Rad!<\/em> was their first album of original material since the tragedy, and was hailed as one of the best of the band’s career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sick Sesh<\/em>! is available on CD, vinyl and digitally, and is up for pre-order on the Fat Wreck website<\/a><\/strong> now, along with a range of new merch, though the vinyl doesn’t ship until November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
