Poet Laureate of punk John Cooper Clarke<\/a><\/strong> has announced a full list of rescheduled dates for his I Wanna Be Yours UK tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The original shows, cancelled due to the pandemic, are replaced by new ones between June 2021 and April 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to high demand, four new dates are also being added, in Bedford, Nottingham, Bexhill and Cambridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for the original dates are still valid, and tickets for all new shows on sale now from www.johncooperclarke.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bard of Salford is not only the Poet Laureate of punk, he’s a rock star, fashion icon, TV and radio presenter, social and cultural commentator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His lively, rapid-fire renditions of his work have made him one of Britain\u2019s most-loved and influential writers and performers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His new memoir I Wanna Be Yours, released in October 2020, explores his extraordinary life, filled with remarkable personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Nico to Chuck Berry; Bernard Manning to Linton Kwesi Johnson; Elvis Costello to Gregory Corso; Mark E. Smith to Gil Scott Heron and Joe Strummer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then there’s the poet laureate of punk’s more recent fans and collaborators – the likes of Alex Turner, Plan B and Guy Garvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John reveals his encyclopaedic take on popular culture over the centuries, interspersed with stories from his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JCC’s live show sees him share stories from his life and career, plus musings, off-the-wall chat, riffs, gags and wicked humour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Cooper Clarke’s popularity began in the 1970s as the original \u2018people\u2019s poet\u2019. Since then his career has spanned cultures, audiences and art forms, as well as continents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His trademark \u2018look\u2019 resonates with young and old, his poetry is on the national curriculum, and his effect on modern music is huge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
