It&#8217;s packed with reflections on good times, and leaves you with a real warm glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From songs harking back to the good old days of <strong>The Village Disco<\/strong> to <strong>What Would Willie Do?<\/strong>,a tribute to country legend Willie Nelson, this is a feelgood album from the start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secondary school drama teacher Mr Lee who \u201creally helped me work out the person I wanted to be later\u201d is the subject of <strong>Favourite Teacher<\/strong>, while <strong>Once Upon A Time<\/strong> is a reflection on his adventures and misadventures during the decadent Camden scene of the noughties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beans is a happy family man these days, however, and <strong>Album Of The Day<\/strong> is an endearing pop ballad about sharing music with his young daughter, listening to The Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob Marley, Dolly Parton, Beck, The Prodigy and The Clash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?resize=640%2C315\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5037\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?resize=1024%2C504&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?resize=300%2C148&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?resize=768%2C378&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?resize=1536%2C756&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?resize=2048%2C1008&amp;ssl=1 2048w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?w=1280 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/beans-on-toast-both-albums.jpg?w=1920 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where KNID is an album full of positivity, love and heart-warming reflection, TUF is almost its polar opposite, and sees Beans at his cynical best. Written, recorded and released in a week, it was the first in a series of lockdown singles which captured moments in time as the world was turned upside down by the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Human Contact <\/strong>reflects on missing pubs, clubs, football, gigs, festivals and meeting up with friends, while <strong>Chessington World of Adventures<\/strong> is a barbed attack on the Government&#8217;s mishandling of the early days of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Arseholes <\/strong>\u2013 possibly the standout track here &#8211; needs little explanation, and contains one of my favourite lyrics: \u201cWhatever happened to that Government app, you know how much they spent on that\/It&#8217;ll never see the light of day, but the contract was awarded and their mates got paid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/beans-on-toast.jpg?resize=640%2C469\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1756\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/beans-on-toast.jpg?resize=1024%2C751&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/beans-on-toast.jpg?resize=300%2C220&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/beans-on-toast.jpg?resize=768%2C563&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/beans-on-toast.jpg?w=1280 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ipamusic.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/beans-on-toast.jpg?w=1920 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption><strong>Beans On Toast performing live. anniversary that never was, while <strong>Save The Music<\/strong> emphasises the importance of live music to many people&#8217;s lives and livelihoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are uplifting moments too; <strong>Got Each Other<\/strong> is a love letter to his wife, and <strong>Patience<\/strong>, simply about being good to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Unforeseeable Future is possibly the best album of Beans On Toast&#8217;s career, and one which will resonate long after we&#8217;ve all being vaccinated and life has returned to something resembling normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knee Deep In Nostalgia <strong>7\/10<\/strong>\/The Unforeseeable Future
