Folk Devils<\/a><\/strong>, who blazed a trail across the UK\u2019s indie music scene in the mid-80s, have released their first new music since 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band, who were full of post-punk energy, were best known for their acclaimed indie-chart singles Hank Turns Blue and Beautiful Monster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They built up a cult following while opening for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Fall, The Gun Club and Screaming Blue Messiahs, among others, and recorded three John Peel sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now they’re back with a three-track EP, Forever, which will be released on 10in clear red vinyl, CD and digitally on Optic Nerve Recordings<\/strong><\/a> on 18 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
