Pic: Gary Welford.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now The Blinders \u2013 Thomas Haywood on guitar and vocals, Charlie McGough on bass and Matthew Neale on drums \u2013 have a new album on the horizon, and have shared the first single, Circle Song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A dark blues-waltz underpinned by propulsive bass and evocatively prosaic lyricism, the track straddles the lines between ode and lament while addressing life\u2019s confusing crossroads.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The track is accompanied by an arresting video, which cuts between the band performing and wandering the atmospherically bleak landscape of the Peak District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Blinders - Circle Song [OFFICIAL VIDEO]\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oxWy1vkA2dE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The track is the first to be taken from upcoming album, Fantasies Of A Stay At Home Psychopath, which was recorded at Manchester\u2019s Eve Studios with producer Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi), and mixed by Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The album, which will be released on May 8, explores existential despair, mental health and society\u2019s ills in a time of planetary crisis, and is both a riposte to, and commentary on, the rise of populist ideology.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following its release, the band will head out on a run of intimate dates, with shows in Edinburgh, Hull, London and Southampton, between slots at festivals including Live At Leeds, Sound City, Hit The North in Newcastle, and Sonic Wave, with much
