After celebrating their 25th<\/sup> anniversary last year with the release of the 25LIVE@25 album, alternative rock icons Skunk Anansie<\/strong> have announced their return to the road with a major headline tour, starting in June 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Having\nspent most of the past year on the road, touring across the UK and\nEurope which saw them visit 13 countries, headline festivals and\nreceive some of the best reviews of their career, the band are now\nback for more with shows up and down the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets go on general sale this Friday, 7 February, from www.gigsandtours.com<\/strong><\/a> and www.ticketmaster.co.uk<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last\nyear Skunk Anansie also released their first instalment of new music\nin three years with the track What You Do For Love, which received\nairplay on BBC Radio 2 and became an instant fan favourite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\nrelease its riff-raging follow-up This Means War on Friday,\naccompanied by a stunning video shot at their headline show in Poland\nlast year in front of 800,000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both tracks will be made available as a limited run collector\u2019s edition double A-side vinyl 7in in April, with pre-orders available from Friday from https:\/\/skunkanansie.tmstor.es\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last 25 years have seen the band acclaimed as one of the greatest British rock bands of all time, while vocalist Skin has become one of the world\u2019s most iconic female performers, as well as an inspirational role model, activist and trailblazer for women in the music industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To\nreflect her incredible journey, Skin has announced her very first\nmemoir, co-written by respected journalist and friend Lucy O\u2019Brien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It promises an alternative narrative to the male-dominated, predominantly white Britpop era, and will chart Skin\u2019s unique story from her working-class Brixton roots to the Glastonbury and international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nbook is due for publication in September 2020 by Simon and Schuster,\nand is available to pre-order now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skunk\nAnansie\u2019s influential status continues to be recognised as the band\nwere presented with the Hall of Fame Award at the 2019 Kerrang!\nAwards, joining the likes of past winners Rage Against The Machine,\nIron Maiden, Green Day, Metallica and Marilyn Manson, while Skin\npicked up the Inspirational Artist Award at the Music Week Awards in\n2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
