Transvision Vamp co-founder Wendy James<\/a><\/strong> has announced the release of her 10th album, The Shape Of History.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

It will be released on 25 October, and will be promoted by a two-week instore tour of record shops around the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Written between London and New York, the album finds Wendy reflecting on love, life, and her journey in music, told with her effusive character and razor wit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wendy said: “The Shape Of History<\/em> has a lot about love in it, a lot about appreciation of oneself, one\u2019s life and importantly, of others. It is life\u2019s arc of starting out, blooming into something and in some ways maturing.<\/p>\n\n\n

“I don\u2019t think my music has got older, I know I\u2019ve not gone mellow! My attitude can be more ferocious and fearless than ever, but there is an acquired wisdom, which naturally comes after having been alive for a few decades! The Shape Of History<\/em> is a love letter and a ‘thank you’ note to life so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am so excited to be out on the road again\u2026 at venues which are near and dear to my heart – record shops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Every one of these venues takes pride in delivering music to their customers, introducing new music, re-issuing music gone by and in my case \u2026 the culmination of a 10-album odyssey which began in 1986 when I co-formed Transvision Vamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
