Ash have announced a new ‘greatest hits’ collection to celebrate their 25th anniversary – and an extensive tour of the UK and Europe.

Teenage Wildlife: 25 Years of Ash will be released in February 2020 via BMG.

The Irish indie-rockers, who were teenagers when they burst onto the music scene in 1994, will release Teenage Wildlife: 25 Years Of Ash via BMG on 14 February 2020.

Teenage Wildlife traces the band’s recording career, from exuberant debut Jack Names The Planets, which was recorded while they were still at school,  through to BuzzKill from 2018’s Top 20 album Islands.

It also includes a new offering, Darkest Hour Of The Night, plus 13 Top 40 singles, such as Girl From Mars, Gold Finger, Burn Baby Burn and Oh Yeah.

Teenage Wildlife will be available on CD and vinyl, with a limited edition lenticular 3CD set featuring an 18-track selection of rarities, including a version of Buzzcocks classic Everybody’s Happy Nowadays, a cover of fellow Irish band The Undertones’ eternal Teenage Kicks and the collection’s title track.

Whether it was as the original three-piece of Tim Wheeler (guitar and vocals), Mark Hamilton (bass) and Rick McMurray (drums) , or as a quartet with Charlotte Hatherley on guitar, Ash have earned their reputation as a thrilling band.

The band have also released a new video for Jack Names The Planets, featuring footage shot across the band’s entire career, with remastered audio.
